How can my Domain name registered with a service provider be renewed thru another service provider?

The present service provider charges a very high rate per pear. I want to go with another service provider to reduce my cost per year.

Register with the new service provider. Renew the account from your new provider. When you do that you will get a mail asking if you want to change your registrar either from your new service provider or the old one. The old one will then send you a mail to confirm your registrar change request. Accept that. If the old registrar gives you any problem visit www.internic.org and complain about the registrar to them. Also make a point to mail the old registrar and tell them to release your account to the old registrar if they dont want a legal action against them.
